What it does

• Up to 15 YouTube channels per server — paste-URL flow with a preview card (avatar, subscriber count, last video). Supports @handle, /channel/UC… and /c/CustomName.
• Typically under 30 seconds — new uploads land in the Discord channel within 5–30 s. A safety mechanism catches missed events.
• Video · Short · Live · Premiere separated — each of the 4 event types is toggleable per channel, with an optional own target channel.
• Template with 6 variables — {channel_name}, {title}, {url}, {type}, {duration}, {published_at}. @-mention dropdown like in Discord itself.

How to set it up

1. Open Dashboard → YouTube Notifications.
2. Add a YouTube channel — paste the URL (e.g. https://youtube.com/@LinusTechTips). A preview card appears.
3. Pick a default target channel — e.g. #youtube.
4. Optionally a separate channel per event type: Shorts to #shorts, livestreams to #live.
5. Adjust the template — e.g. {channel_name} just uploaded: {title} {url}.
6. Optionally set a role mention.

Tips for better results

• Separate Shorts and videos — many servers don't want Shorts in their main channel. Set up a #shorts channel.
• Use the test preview, not test posts — the dashboard shows what the next notification looks like (using the last real upload). No server spam.
• Role-ping your main creator only, not all 15 — otherwise your users get desensitized.

Does it cost anything? No. Up to 15 YouTube channels per Discord server are free — no paywall, no credit card.

Why does my notification arrive after a minute? Usually it's 5–30 s. If YouTube itself hangs, our safety mechanism delivers retroactively — in very rare cases up to 60 minutes.

Which URL formats work? youtube.com/@handle, youtube.com/channel/UC…, youtube.com/c/CustomName, youtube.com/user/LegacyName, and @handle alone as a shortcut. Video URLs are rejected with a clear error.
